Opposite Lake Windermere, the Hotel is set in 7 acres of secluded gardens and woodland and boasts one of the best monkey-puzzle trees in the country. All the gardens were sculpted and tended by the original owner of the Hotel.

Originally the "Holbeck Cottage", the house was built near the end of the 19th century and contains many of its original features including the wooden staircase leading up to the first floor.

The Hotel is open all year including Christmas and New Year and is the ideal location to hold your Wedding, Conference or special event. The Hotel has been awarded three crowns by the English Tourist Board.
