Briery Wood is able to offer Civil Wedding Ceremonies from 2 guests( bride and groom) to 80 guests.
When you have booked our hotel (confirmed with a deposit) you can book the registrar two years prior to the wedding day.

You will have to give notice of your marriage to the superintendent registrar of the district you live.
Further details of this and other details related to the ceremony will be available upon application to the registrar.

Terms and conditions

1. Written confirmation is required at the time of the booking with a £1,000 deposit. In the event of cancellation the deposit is non-refundable.

2. All arrangements to be finalised 21 days prior to the wedding date.

3. We are unable to cater for less than the confirmed number of guests.

4. Children under 9 years are charged half price.

5. The balance of the account to be settled one calendar month after the wedding day.

Booking Costs

There is a charge of £500.00 to have your civil or wedding reception at the Hotel.

There is no date reserved for a wedding without a non-returnable deposit of £1,000.

Bedrooms will be available from 2.00pm.

Morning departure is 11.00am

Sit Down Reception in two adjoining rooms - 112 Guests

Evening reception with walk around buffet - 150 Guests

Accommodation Discounted for Wedding Guests

One night stay - £5.00 per person off the Bed and Breakfast tariff charge.

Two Night Stay - £10.00 per person per night off the Bed and Breakfast tariff charge.

If rooms are requested and not filled they will be charged for.
